#1) Create a New GarageBand Song Launch GarageBand, navigate to the song list and tap the “+” button in the top-left corner of the screen to create a new GarageBand song. The Instrument Selection list will automatically appear. See above image. #2) Navigate to the Track View To build a song with only loops, you must navigate to the Track View. Open GarageBand on your iPhone or iPad and then follow these steps to share your song. 1) On the main GarageBand screen (Your Songs) tap and hold the song you want and select Share. 3) Select the audio quality, adjust details if necessary, for artist, composer, and album, and optionally choose a cover image. On the ‘My Songs’ screen, hold your finger on the icon of the song you wish to share for a few seconds – you’ll see it will become highlighted and the menu will appear in the top left of the screen. Tap on the ‘share’ icon. You can choose to share your track via email or directly to Facebook, Soundcloud or YouTube. Once you have your creation ready and you’re signed into the Google Drive app, just follow these steps to share from GarageBand: Launch GarageBand on your iPhone or iPad. Once you are at the My Songs page, tap on Select and choose your song. In the second row of icons, tap on Open In.

How to share from GarageBand to Google Drive
Garageband is a free (to all new iOS customers) app and covers a lot of bases for you as a creative — be it recording guitar or any other audio on iPhone or iPad.
How To Use Garageband App
Google Drive is free and gives you 15GB of online storage out of the box.
Once you have your creation ready and you’re signed into the Google Drive app, just follow these steps to share from GarageBand:
- Launch GarageBand on your iPhone or iPad.
- Once you are at the My Songs page, tap on Select and choose your song.
- In the second row of icons, tap on Open In….
- Check out all your details and change anything you need to, then tap Share at the top right.
- Now choose Google Drive.
- Here you can fill in any details, change where you want the file in Drive, and toggle between Google Drive accounts (if you’re signed in to more than one). Once you’re done, tap on Upload.
Note: If you don’t see Google Drive in the share section, you may need to activate the extension by scrolling all the way to the right and tapping More and toggling On the Google Drive option.

Send a GarageBand song via email
- Tap My Songs, then tap the Action button .
- Tap Share Song via Mail.
- Enter the artist, composer, and album name if you wish, then tap Email.An email message appears, with the song as an attachment in AAC format.
- Tap the To, Cc/Bcc, and Subject fields to edit the recipients and the subject of the email. To choose recipients from your Address Book, tap the Add Recipient button.
- Tap the body of the email to edit the message text.
- When the email is ready, tap Send in the upper-right corner to send it.You can’t send the email until you add at least one recipient.

Send a GarageBand song to iTunes
- Tap My Songs, then tap Select.
- Tap the song you want to send, then tap the Action button .
- Tap Share Song via iTunes.
- Do one of the following:
- To send the song as a GarageBand song, tap GarageBand.
- To send the song as an audio file, tap iTunes, then tap Share.
- Sync your iPad with your computer.In iTunes, the exported song appears in the Documents list in the File Sharing area when GarageBand is selected.
- Do one of the following:
- Drag the song from the GarageBand Documents list to the Finder.
- Click Save As, navigate to the location where you want to save the song, then click Save.
You can open the GarageBand song in GarageBand on your Mac, or play the audio file in iTunes (or any compatible audio application) on your computer. GarageBand songs cannot be opened on a Windows computer.
