  • Typically, the administrator account is selected as the User ID whose password needs to be reset. From the Edit menu, select the Password tab and enter the default password of '1234,' then press the OK button. After typing in the default password, the unit should request a new password. Enter a new password, and press OK to set it.
  • Press “MENU” and enter the password to go to the quick-start menu list. Then, move to “ADVANCE” to enter the advanced setting menu. Page 28: Detection ADVANCED MENU TITLE You can change the default camera naming here. The default title is the channel number.
  • To reset the password, you must connect your computer to the same network as the DVR and start the procedure. You can connect directly from the DVR to your computer or use a router. Option 1: Direct from DVR to computer with network cable (UTP) Option 2: Connecting the DVR to the computer through the router.

You may reset your Room Alert Monitor to factory defaults in 3 ways:

– Through Room Alert Monitor’s web interface

– With the physical reset button on the Room Alert unit

My problem is i have a AVtech 4 channel DVR that was set up and working at a previous location, i have moved and am trying to set it up but forget the admin password for video server E. Is there any master password or way to reset this? Here are the ways you can recover from a lost password. Use the DVR factory default password (like admin, password or 123456) 2. Use a DVR password generator. Update the firmware and reset the DVR. Reset the DVR by removing the battery. DVR motherboard reset with jumpers.

When you reset your Room Alert Monitor to factory defaults, the unit loses all of the settings previously configured, such as alarm thresholds and static IP addresses, but retains firmware updates.

Reset A Room Alert 32S, 12S, 32E/W, 12E, 4E, or 3E

Select one of the tabs below to reset your Room Alert Monitor to defaults.

1. Open your Room Alert Monitor’s web interface. You may open the interface using Device Discovery, Device ManageR, or your account at RoomAlert.com. You may also type the IP address of the unit directly into the address bar of your web browser.

2. Select Settings in the navigation bar to the left.

3. Then select Advanced from the options below Settings.

4. Select Reset to Defaults in the upper right corner of the screen.

  • On the RA32S & 12S, this button is located toward the bottom of the screen.

5. Select Yes in the Confirm Reset dialog box.

6. Your unit will reboot with factory settings restored.

The reset button is recessed behind a small hole in the unit’s enclosure. You can reach it with a paperclip or other small tool. Click below to view the location of your device’s button:

To reset the unit with the physical reset button:

1. With your Room Alert Monitor connected to Ethernet and power, press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds until the left ‘link’ LED on the network jack turns off momentarily and then turns on again.

For the Room Alert 32E, you may wish to observe the status LEDs on the front rather than the network jack LED. When you initiate a reset, the status LEDs will first turn red, then cycle through red and green, and finally return to their original state.

2. Your unit will reboot with factory settings restored.

If you don’t have access to reset the Room Alert Monitor through its web interface or with its physical reset button, you can reset the unit through its Telnet menu.

You must have Telnet enabled on your Windows system in order to complete the steps below. Telnet is disabled by default in Windows versions Vista and above. Please see our FAQ How To Enable Telnet In Windows (Versions Vista And Above) for help.

1. Open Windows Command Prompt, which you may find at the following path on your Windows system: Start–> All Programs–> Accessories–> Command Prompt.

2. At the prompt, enter the following command, as shown in the example below.

3. If you are prompted for your Room Alert Monitor password, enter it and then press the Enter key on your keyboard. Otherwise, simply press Enter.

You must press Enter within a few seconds or you’ll get a ‘Connection to host lost’ message. If you see that message, press Enter to get the prompt back and re-enter the telnet command from Step 2.

4. The Telnet menu will appear as shown below.

5. At the Your choice? prompt, enter 7, which corresponds to ‘factory defaults.’

6. Enter Y when the confirmation message appears. You’ll then see a message that the unit is resetting.

7. Then, the Telnet menu will reappear. At the Your choice? prompt, enter 9, which corresponds to ‘save and exit.’

8. Your Room Alert Monitor will reboot with factory settings restored.

3. Then select Advanced from the options below Alert Options.

4. Select Reset to Defaults in the upper right corner of the screen.

5. Select Yes in the Confirm Reset dialog box.

To reset the unit with the physical reset button:

1. With your Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi connected to power, press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds.

2. Your unit will reboot with factory settings restored.
